Emergency Dentistry This information is a guideline to help our patients in the next step towards getting emergency dental treatment. We always recommend a follow up and appointment with a dental professional. If you are experiencing any difficulties swallowing or breathings as a result of a tooth infection we recommend you immediately go to the hospital for evaluation. Broken tooth- often the result of an underlying problem we recommend you see your dentist within the next day or as soon as possible. If you are experiencing pain, To alleviate the symptoms consider an over the counter pain medication like Advil or Tylenol. Take as directed and schedule an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible. Infected wisdom teeth. Rinse the area with warm salt water for a minimum of 2-3 minutes. 3 to 4 x day. Visit your dentist as soon as possible for evaluation. A knocked out tooth due to trauma. Clean the tooth as best possible and try and reposition it back in the mouth. If this is not possible place the tooth in a container of milk and in both cases seek the help of a dental professional immediately.
